Ok, Ok, Ok, I know I said I was going to write more about the Bahamas, but I really want to tell you about Mexico First! I went to Mexico the first week in May for My Cousin Erin's Wedding. Erin is my older, wiser, beautiful cousin who since birth I've idolized. She's pretty amazing if you ask me. Erin, has always set her own course in life and this wedding stuff proved to be no different since she decided to up and get married in Mexico!
When Erin told me she was getting married in Mexico, I was excited beyond belief, 1st because who doesn't want to go to the Mexican Rivera, 2nd because the possibility of spending time with family members I don't get to see often in a fun beach setting sounded too good to be true, 3rdly because I'd never been to an all inclusive resort before, and lastly because hell yeah Erin has just paved the way for me to get married anywhere in the world I'd like (if of course I ever decide to tie the knot).
Have you ever been to Mexico? Have you ever stayed in an all inclusive resort? I had not stayed in an all inclusive resort before and let me tell you it was pretty darn great.
Everything about the Mexico trip was pretty great except the food. The food left something to be desired, but really that's ok. I didn't go to Mexico for the food. The Thing that stuck me the most was the different between life on the resort and life off the resort. When I went off the resort for an adventure with my aunt (more on that later). I was really struck by what we as American's would call poverty. I'm not sure what more I can say about it though because I don't know that I have words. I will show you some pictures though....
So that's the nut shell version of my trip. I'll give you a few more tid bits in a bit. :)
