Q. Who are you? What is your background?
A. I’m Alexis Fedor, dancer/performance artist/writer, and owner of Artists In Business, a company that helps artists of all disciplines create thriving businesses with and for their art.
Q. What is your work?
A. Helping other artists create five and six-figure businesses by aligning their Vision and Mission with a business plan that connects them to their true ideal clients, as well as creating my own performance art projects.
Q. What is one project you are excited to be working on right now?
A. The launch of my online program called The Profit Canvas, which is a 3-month program for artists to create a business plan with and for their art.
Q. What is one thing you've done recently that's scared you and took courage, but you're glad you did?
A. I sang a solo for the first time in my life at a vocal concert in Denmark with other legitimate singers. I wanted to learn to sing and my voice teacher told me I should sing in that concert after just four lessons. I was terrified, but very glad I did it.
Q. What is the work you most want to be doing and are you doing it? If not why not what's stopping you?
A. I most want to be creating my own work as an artist while helping other artists build sustainable businesses in the process. So, I’m thrilled that I’m doing both.
Q. What would you tell your high school or college self?
A. To learn the lessons faster and know that each time you trust your instincts you are right, and that most of the time it will feel uncomfortable and certain people will react unfavorably- and that’s what will always happen when you make the right decisions for yourself.
Q. What's one piece of advice or motto you love and use in your daily life that you would like to share with my sweet readers?
A. Stay in the moment.
Q. What keeps you creating when you don't feel like it?
A. Remembering my Vision for my work and getting motivated to keep moving in that direction.
Q. Anything else you'd like to share?
A. Instinct combined with proof and knowledge breeds confidence and truth.
Q. What's your favorite yoga pose?
A. Bakasana. (crane pose)
Q. How do you live a life of abundance?
A. By constantly coming back to what is important to me, my family and my values- and working to stay on track with them at all times.
