Q. Who are you? What is your background?
A. My name is Kelle Yokeley. I am a karmic yogi. I am a lover of life. I am a dream chaser, chance taker, adventurer seeker, traveling yogi and entrepreneur.
With a mission to be the change in our community, I am deeply rooted in community outreach. In 2010 I opened the doors to Yoga Mindset, a karma based yoga studio that provides yoga to all despite financial difficulties. Non-profit Yoga Mindset Collective is the key leader in providing yoga in schools, guiding our future generation in mindfulness.
As a traveling yogi being able to understand our fellow humans from the intimate standpoint of where they come from and what they believe nurtures my soul, learning to respect and enjoy the traditions of other cultures keeps me exploring the world.
Q. What is your work?
A. E-RYT200 yoga instructor, founder of Yoga Mindset, which was just recently named Traid’s Best Yoga Studio of 2018, Yoga Mindset Collective non-profit 501(c)(3), and High Point’s only certified 200hr. yoga school, Yoga Mindset School of Yoga and Wellness.
With a humble heart, I have received the honor of being named lululemon Yoga Ambassador, OrganicAF cold pressed juice Ambassador and Xero Hero shoes Ambassador.
The practice of Yoga has transformed my life. My Dharma is sharing the practice so others can dive deeper into their own journey and live it to the fullest.
Q. What is one project you are excited to be working on right now?
A. Yoga Mindset Collective’s Yoga in Schools. The 2018/2019 School year will be our biggest year yet, providing mindfulness to more children throughout the triad.
Q. What is one thing you've done recently that's scared you and took courage, but you're glad you did?
A. Sky Diving. I discovered that 10,000 feet is the most amazing, freeing feeling, I’m totally hooked and looking forward to my next jump.
Q. What would you tell your high school or college self?
A. I would tell myself that “you have the power within you, you always have and always will.”
Q. What's one piece of advice or motto you love and use in your daily life that you would like to share with my sweet readers?
A. “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”
Q. What keeps you creating when you don't feel like it?
A. My breath.
Q. What's your favorite yoga pose?
A. Padahastasana (standing forward fold)
Q. How do you live a life of abundance?
A. I trust that the Universe will support me abundantly.
