In two different world
American Sign language was Tabitha’s first language
American Sign language is the second most spoken language
Sign language should be taught in schools even just the basics
Deaf children are being mainstreamed
Sign language is my passion and calling and what I’m called to do.
Communication is a critical piece in everything
Advocating and raising awareness
Don’t yell when you meet a deaf person
Don’t tap on a deaf person’s shoulder
Being conscious and inclusive
We are all the same
Bridging the two worlds
Imagine if you can’t hear, you’re depending on others
A simple touch goes a long way
Hands that Speak provides interpreting services and education as well as facilitate communication
Always have an interpreter
Sometimes the deaf community feels left out because they are overlooked
We are all different but the same
Invite the deaf population and have an interpreter, it’s a pivotal piece to bringing the two worlds together. 
Imagine if you couldn’t hear, you’re depending on others.  You only know what you know.
Why not learn the basics of sign?  That means the world to a deaf person. 
Anyone with a disability, there is a barrier, so just the basics (who knowing sign) goes a long way. 
In a place where I just get up and go and do! 
Whether you like to, whether you’re scared or not you just do it
If it was put in my mind to do it I was given all of the tools to do it.
Goal to learn at least 2 new things every day
The more seeds you sew the more you put yourself out there it comes back and when it comes back it comes back 10 fold.
Every no that you get prepares you for the yes that’s going to put you on your path
Don’t take no for an answer, there is always a way
Some days are hard, sad or confusing, just keep going no matter what, don’t stop
Keep learning, keep growing
Have a firm foundation, we can’t do anything alone
Try not to stay stuck in the trials
Give yourself time to feel the feelings and then move on!  Use it as fuel
There is a learning curve when you’re in a deaf household
You can be anything you put your mind to
We all have a story to tell
You can do it no matter what goes on
CODA children have a heart to care for others
Where can you open your doors for the deaf population
Learn the basic signs of sign language
Have patience
