Interview in the tree house at Timberlake Earth Sancuary

Michelle: Was working at DuPont.  Living a life she felt primed for as far as American Dream Trajectory.  Working 40 hours a week with a salary income and feeling disconnected from spirit and essence. She was in a process of moving away from her true self.  That life felt exhausting to Michelle.  She stumbled across a program that was a nature immersion.  She was asking questions like “What do I really want out of life”, “What do I want to creative now?” She is from MI.  It was a shift towards following her heart’s path and it was scary to step into that unknown territory.  She was drawn to a life that felt more like self.  It was scary to follow heart.  A path that no one around her was affirming.  Diving into inner self work.  Looking at own inherited wounds.  Life was affirming my choice to leave.

Jess: Was living in Canadian.  In Toronto.  Jess is Canadian. Really involved in the fitness industry. Was doing bikini competitions. Father was a body builder.  Interested in pushing my boundaries.  Won first competion and second competition and it was that moment of feeling an emptiness inside.  City life had her constantly reaching for something bigger and better outside of herself.  Distracting myself from myself, asked the question, why am I so afraid of myself.  Went traveling. Went leaving in search of true self.  Knew what I didn’t want but knew there was something else and I was dedicated to uncovering that.  Spent 4-6 months in Thailand managing a mango farm.

Riding earth immersion and the eco institute

The start of me beginning to discover my true self.

Discovering the person that I am.  The passions that I have.

The program re-awakened my relationship to self.  Reminding us that we need to slow down, listen.

In the program discovered for the first time my own creative potential.  The program had so much space to explore.

Space to share your interior process.  The program birthed a new kind of relationship

Soul attraction, spiritual attraction.

In meeting Michelle jess was confronted with the question, who am I?

Was feeling the depth of my heart with Michelle and all of these other people. Jess was grappling with who she thoughts she was and letting some parts of her die so that she could say yes to what was there. Jess had to grieve her entire life before Michelle.

Jess had to affirm herself and she could no longer look to other people to affirm her identity.

Felt like whole life was leading her to this moment. The one I was going to choose was the soul calling. Being with Michelle meant confronting the shame around sexuality that I had.  Was scary to claim the relationship.

In the path on moving to true self you can’t be affirmed by outside forces.

Had to confront myself.  The first moments of illumination drive you.

Constantly meeting our own thresholds.  Each initiation is different for each person.

On my journey there is a deep wound of rejection.  Experience of receiving disapprovals was normal.

I had to Confronting on some level my own internalized disapproval.  Fear of what others will think.

Being able to validate our own worth.

When you are met with disapproval and rejection and you revisit the depths of yourself and learn to reparent yourself.

Relationships are the doorway to transform.  Any relationship is a doorway to looking at yourself in a different way.  What is uncomfortable in me is meant to be explored.

All of our relationships can be opportunities for our own growth, for healing our wounds.

Most of my reparenting has come from earth

Relationships are the primary context for existence
